First-of-its-Kind, High-Quality PPO Health Plan Expands Network by more than 400% across the Austin, Texas Area
AUSTIN, TX – October 11, 2022 – Curative, a leading healthcare delivery company that recently launched a bold, new health plan in Austin, Texas, today announced a significant expansion of its provider network in the surrounding area effective for new employers and their employees on January 1, 2023. This latest expansion includes HCA, Ascension/Seton (with Dell Children’s Hospital), and Baylor Scott White, making Curative’s health insurance plan’s PPO network one of the largest provider networks in the Austin area.
Through a relationship with First Health Network™, Curative Insurance Company will increase access for its members to a growing list of 18 hospitals with more than 9,500 physicians in the greater Austin region. The comprehensive Curative network already includes major providers such as the Austin Regional Clinic (ARC), Austin Diagnostic Clinic (ADC), and all St. David’s facilities, among many others, as well as 24/7/365 access to a local physician in under 10 minutes via telemedicine.
Curative is seeking to eliminate financial barriers for patients accessing health insurance by offering benefits with the completion of a baseline visit within 120 days after enrollment to qualify for $0 copays and deductibles for all doctors, hospitals, and other providers in its network. After members complete an annual Baseline Visit, employers will pay a competitive monthly premium for their employees to access all in-network healthcare services, including primary care and specialty care, office and hospital visits, 24/7/365 telemedicine, prescribed pharmaceuticals, wellness, preventative care, and mental and behavioral health care through a high-quality, PPO network.
“We are excited to grow our presence in the Austin area and offer our health plan members an expanded network of high-quality providers to help them optimize their health and qualify for $0 copay and deductible,” said Fred Turner, co-founder and CEO of Curative. “The Curative network has rapidly become one of the largest provider networks in Travis and Williamson counties. Our health plan not only offers members an extensive choice in where and from whom they seek care but also true transparency into their healthcare costs and exceptional customer service.
The Curative plan is available to employers with 51 or more employees in the Austin metro area. In addition to a high-quality network of providers, Curative plan members will receive exclusive access to Curative Commons, a one-stop shop for health and wellness resources opening in early 2023.
Curative’s new health plan represents its next phase of growth and is the primary focus of the company following its successes as one of the nation’s largest COVID-19 testing companies.
